Storage

Storing more grain makes more cents

Being able to store larger amounts of raw materials allows you to get better value through bulk shipments. And using a spent grain silo after brewing or distilling can also help make things easier for you and your employees to manage waste.

Malt Silos and Bins

Malt Silos and Bins

Malt storage and spent grain storage are often afterthoughts when planning a new brewery or brewery expansion, and are sometimes overlooked altogether. While buying your malt in bulk quantities can save you a pile of money vs. buying it in 55 lb. sacks, the logistical problem of where to store it all can become a nightmare in the often-cramped confines of a brewery. Incorporating a malt bin or spent grain bin into your brewery can help reduce two of the major demands on space in any brewing operation, while often paying for themselves quickly.

A well built dry malt bin is the main line of defense between your malt and the elements, and should be viewed as an asset that will protect you and save you money over time. With a minimal footprint, malt bins make efficient use of valuable property by reducing the square footage required for malt storage. Add a decal with your brewery logo, and it turns your bin into a billboard that stands out above almost everything else around it. Who doesn't love free advertising?

We offer a range of bin and silo products which will meet the needs of any configuration and climate. Choose from welded and epoxy-coated steel, stainless steel, fiberglass, or corrugated steel bolt-together bins. Available in just about any size you can think of, and designed to stand up to the rigors of a lifetime in the elements, all the while protecting your investment inside.

Grist Cases

We can also build your custom grist case. Choose from stainless steel, painted carbon/mild steel, or polymer construction. Ground mounted or suspended above your mash/lauter tun, any of the bins can be fitted with load cells for weighing and batching.

Bulk Bag Stands

Bulk Bag Stands

Bulk bag stands are a great option for a mid-sized brewing or distilling operation, or for specialty recipe ingredients that wouldn't require the volume of storage in a silo.

We provide customized unloading stations for bulk bags up to 2500 lbs. Available in epoxy coated carbon or stainless steel. Options such as agitation, hoists, low-headroom configuration, and an array of discharge transitions allow these units to fit into nearly any situation.

Spent Grain Silos

Spent Grain Silos and Bins

An elevated spent grain bin with a drive-thru support structure will simplify the disposal of your brewery spent grain, making it easy to offload into whatever type of trailer will be used to haul it away. A spent grain bin can also help delay the mold & bacterial growth often associated with spent grain storage, reducing foul odors that can upset the neighbors. Your spent grain bin can be equipped with a discharge pump for ground mounting, or a knife gate to gravity drop or connect to a discharge auger to help keep it clean and facilitate off-loading. Stainless or mild steel welded construction. Heating and insulation is available for cold weather climates.
